Foods for healthy hair growth

The human body can not function properly without the right supply of foods. Foods are the main source of energy for the entire body, and for hair growth as well. Eating the right foods allows your body to create the energy needed to keep your hair healthy and also to keep you from losing your hair.
1. Chickpeas
Chickpeas 

Chickpeas are rich in both zinc and the vitamin B-6. These are essential minerals required for healthy hair. Zinc plays a important part in building hair protein and works together with Vitamin A. Missing one of those two can contribute to dandruff as well as hair loss.
2. Soy beans

Soy is a great source of protein. It also contains a substantial amount of Iron and Vitamin E. Iron is an important part of hemoglobin production. Hemoglobin is responsible for getting oxygen to the tissues of the body. Without it your hair won’t grow. Vitamin E also helps with the absorption of oxygen and increases blood circulation to the scalp.

3. Almonds

Almonds are good sources of protein, iron and vitamin E. They also help to lower cholesterol helping you avoid having to take cholesterol lowering drugs in the future. It has been reported that some cholesterol lowering drugs can contribute to hair loss so be aware!
4. Flax Seeds / Linseeds

Flax seeds are the best plant source of essential fatty acids, especially omega-3. They are small, hard and flat seeds ranging from dark brown to golden in color. It has been reported that consuming three table soon of flax seeds a day will help your hair grow faster as well as give it a natural shine. Flax seeds are also known to improve the skin complexion.
5. Sunflower Seeds

Sunflower seeds provide you with everything you need to grow healthy hair. They are high in protein, biotin, potassium, zinc, iron, B vitamins, vitamin E, magnesium and calcium. They are also high in omega-6 fatty acids.
